D.O.G.S. Third Round at Senayan National Golf Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,

A good turnout with 22 players joining us at Senayan for our third round. Everything was going smoothly with players teeing off early and moving at a reasonable pace. Unfortunately a sixsome turned up and was was inserted in front of the groups that went off the back nine first which quickly soured the mood. Despite the delay this caused, everyone was completed in less than 4 1/2 hours.

Once we were appraised of the 6-ball situation we contacted management who immediately took action. The General Manager and Operations Manager both went onto the course with the GM forcing the group to break up. As they were members they couldn't be kicked off the course but they were given warnings that subsequent breaches of rules and etiquette could cause them to lose their membership. The OM found our group and informed us that the situation was being taken care of and apologized to us, further informing that the starter who let the group out would face disciplinary action. They are very excited that the D.O.G.S. are playing the course after being absent for so many years and apologize while promising this will not happen again.

Sadly several of our members had already decided to leave before the course management could act. In the future please do not hesitate to let us know what is going on via the WhatsApp chat so we can try and resolve situations like this before players get fed up and leave.

On a brighter note we are proud to welcome back Willi Goldschmidt one of the Dogs originals from the early days. Willi brought along a new Dog, Brandon Griffiths. Pirena Tioanda and Aries Widjaksana also played their first D.O.G.S. round. Thanks for coming out we hope to see you all back again soon.

The committee kept up it's new tradition of less than stellar golf with John Brown taking the Booby Prize. However, this week was the week of the new D.O.G.S.; in only his second week with us Ivan Yusran has staked his claim as owner of the Drive & Pitch prize on Hole 2 winning it for the second week in a row. Ivan also was our Putting Champion. Aries Widjaksana took a Longest Drive along with the other Drive & Pitch, and Risa Tirtayasa won the Most Exercise. Gaurav Shirke shot a 74 to take Lowest Gross and his 43 points were enough for him to be our Weekly Champion. Going into the second half of the tournament Gaurav now finds himself in first place.

Congratulations to all of our winners! Full results can be viewed on our Leaderboard.

The D.O.G.S. are pleased to announce our newest sponsor VIA.COM who has joined us as a Diamond Sponsor.
