Hail the D.O.G.S. !!!!!
Another excellent turnout saw Rainbow Hills once again close to capacity for the D.O.G.S. Round 4 of our Eclectic Tournament. The afternoon began with a slight delay as the course was particularly busy, but once everyone was underway the pace settled nicely. Despite the later start, all but one group completed their rounds with plenty of daylight remaining, and the majority of the field was back in the clubhouse after another efficient four-and-a-half hours.
The weather continues to smile on us this season, providing ideal golfing conditions once again. Warm without being oppressive and with little wind to contend with, it was another enjoyable afternoon to be out on the course.
A warm D.O.G.S. welcome goes to Lauren Lee, joining us for the first time. Lauren is the better half of Harry Kwak, and we hope this is the first of many rounds with the club.
Richard Mau was certainly the man of the moment this week. If you happened to be within earshot of him after the round, you probably heard all about his remarkable card featuring five birdies and an eagle. His round also produced an impressive net 70, while Aknes went even lower with the best net score of the day, an excellent 68.
Elsewhere in the prizes, Chris Anderson collected both the Drive & Pitch prize on Forest 8 and the Putting Champion title with just 26 putts. Neil Hallett took home the Booby Prize, while Alamjit Singh Sekhon claimed Most Exercise after an adventurous 113 off the stick. Richard secured Lowest Gross with a 79, Aknes finished Runner-Up with 40 points, and Richard completed an outstanding afternoon by becoming Weekly Champion with 41 points.
A big thank you to Indar Dhaliwal for stepping in to handle this week's prize presentation. As always, the committee appreciates the help.

With just two rounds remaining, the Eclectic leaderboard has taken on a very different shape. Richard Mau has moved into the lead, while the absence of both Hitoshi Maruyama and Axel Hertzke saw them tumble down the standings. There is still plenty of opportunity for movement, however, and with the penultimate round next week the pressure is beginning to build in the race for the Blue Jacket.

Entries are now open for next Saturday. We'd love to see another full field, so secure your place early. If registration has closed, please contact the committee to join the waiting list—we'll do our best to arrange another flight if demand requires.

Rules Information
Accidentally Hitting Yourself
It sounds impossible, but it happens more often than you'd think. A chip rebounds off a tree, or a bunker shot catches a slope and comes straight back...
What if your ball accidentally hits you or your equipment?
Under Rule 11.1, there is no penalty if your ball in motion accidentally hits you, your caddie, your equipment, or your cart.
You simply play the ball as it lies.
The only exception is if you deliberately position yourself or your equipment to stop or deflect the ball. In that case, a penalty applies.
So, if your chip ricochets off a tree and hits your leg or your golf bag, don't panic—there's no penalty. Just laugh it off and play your next shot from wherever the ball comes to rest.
