D.O.G.S. Final Round at Klub Golf Bogor Raya
Hail the D.O.G.S. !!!!!
The D.O.G.S. wrapped up our six-week Bogor Raya Eclectic on Sunday with another good turnout for the tournament finale.
Once again it was a very hot afternoon. A morning group caused a slight delay, but we were heading out to our tee boxes by 12:15. Once underway, however, there was absolutely nothing in front of us. The lead group made the most of the wide-open course and finished in just 3 hours 45 minutes. You can't beat that for weekend golf in Jakarta!
A warm D.O.G.S. welcome to Stefan Hadjidetschev, who joined us for the first time.
Daniel Park took a Nearest to the Pin, while Jaakko Valli collected the other and also added a Longest Drive. Ryan Rwanda took the other Longest Drive.
Drive & Pitch prizes went to Jeff Colbert oand Peter Beach.
Roger Finnie had an excellent day on the greens, taking Putting Champion with just 24 putts. Jeff Colbert posted the Lowest Gross of the day with a 75.
At the top of the Stableford leaderboard, Roger added another prize with 42 points to finish Runner Up, but Sepand Zarrabi went two better with an excellent 44 to take home the final Little Dog of the tournament.

And so, after six rounds, it was time to crown our Bogor Raya Eclectic Champion.
Going into the final round, Srinivas Murthy held the lead, with Anirudh Lakshman Katre close behind and Roger Finnie sitting third. There was still plenty that could change — and Roger certainly made his final round count.
When all the scores were in, Anirudh finished in third place, Murthy took Runner Up, while Roger had done enough to climb from third to first and don the famous Blue Jacket as our Bogor Raya Eclectic Champion.
Anirudh also claimed Lowest Gross Champion, finishing with an average of 74.00.
Congratulations to Roger Finnie, our newest Big Dog and Blue Jacket winner, and to all our winners over another excellent six weeks at Bogor Raya.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the D.O.G.S. Charity Barrel throughout our six weeks at Bogor Raya. Together we collected IDR 7,965,000, which has been added to the D.O.G.S. charity fund to support our ongoing donations to worthy causes in Indonesia.
Our next donation will support the ANZA Student Sponsorship Program, helping students remain in school and continue their education.
Another fantastic contribution from the D.O.G.S. community and a great result to finish off the tournament.
The next Eclectic will take us into the hills for six rounds on a beautiful but demanding course. The dramatic elevation changes and spectacular mountain scenery make for a memorable setting, but the course demands plenty of thought, with sloping fairways, uneven lies and strategically placed hazards ready to punish anything wayward. It’s a course renowned for its scenery as much as its challenge, and one where good course management can be every bit as important as distance.
There’s also something special waiting at the end of this one. Round 6 will be our Day of the Dead round, so you have plenty of warning — start getting those outfits prepared now! More details in the Announcements below.

Rules Information
Ball Against a Rake
Your ball comes to rest against a rake beside a bunker. What happens when you move the rake and the ball rolls away?
A rake is a movable obstruction, so you may remove it without penalty. If your ball moves as a result, there is also no penalty, but the ball must be replaced on its original spot.
And if it won’t stay there after two attempts? Place it at the nearest spot where it will remain at rest, following Rule 14.2e.

Java St. Andrew Society Ball
The JSAS will be holding its annual Ball on Saturday, 21 November, and all D.O.G.S. are invited to join what promises to be a fantastic night.
Expect Single Malt Whisky, free-flow wine and beer, fabulous fayre, MacSween Haggis, and a brand-new performance never before seen at the Ball.
The evening starts at 6:00 PM, with Black Tie or Kilt the order of the day. Tickets are IDR 2,300,000 per person or IDR 20,000,000 for a table of ten.
So swap the golf shoes for dancing shoes, round up a few fellow D.O.G.S. and make a night of it!

Day of the Dead Round
Our final round at Gunung Geulis has moved to Sunday, November 1, so Halloween is out and Day of the Dead is in!
Día de los Muertos is not a sombre occasion, but a colourful and joyful celebration of remembrance—honouring family and friends who are no longer with us. That sounds like a theme the D.O.G.S. can get behind.
There will be a prize for the best Day of the Dead-inspired outfit, so think colourful rather than simply scary: decorated skulls, skeletons, flowers, sombreros, bright shirts, face paint—or whatever creative interpretation you can manage while still swinging a golf club.
Knowing the D.O.G.S., we’re expecting the line between celebration and complete nonsense to be suitably blurred.
