A relatively empty Matoa saw 28 people turn up for what turned out to be a scorching day on the links. The course was ready for us and first groups were heading out at 10:30 while others opted to enjoy their breakfast and wait for our planned 11:32 tee time. All groups were able to play their round at a quick pace and finish without any rain.
Welcome to Indar Dhaliwal who played his first game with us and was a double winner taking home the Booby Prize and Most Exercise. Hope you had a good time Indar and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Dave Prosser was the Lowest Gross winner with a smooth 81 off the stick. Dirk Kruip and Juju Juhaeriah both posted 41 Stableford points but Juju walked off as the Weekly Champion on count back.
As we head into our Penultimate Round Jochen Overberg finds himself at the top of the Eclectic standings chasing his first Blue Jacket with a slight lead over Pieter Nielen-Groen who is trying to prove he can win at somewhere other than Modern.
Nabil Wareeth is leading the Lowest Gross competition but will need to turn in some impressive scores to hold off the others who will have 4 rounds in the books following next week.
