Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,
The D.O.G.S. were so excited to play this course they jumped out of the gate way ahead of our starting time leaving those of us who turned up at 11:30 scrambling to catch them. Apologies to the 2 groups who were affected by this.
Great turnout with 34 players showing up. However only 33 scoresheets were submitted as Axel Hertzke managed to hit himself with a golf ball and was taken out of play early (heal up and get ready to join us next week Axel).
A mix up with the flags did not slow things down and pace of play was quick with players making it around the course in plenty of time to enjoy their free beverages in the club house long before dark. The dry conditions offered a few extra meters to even poorly hit shots, while at the same time causing a few unfortunate bounces, while the greens were rolling true. This all added up to some low scores.
For the prizes we had 1 double winner with Marco Hernaiz Mayo winning a Longest Drive and the coveted Booby Prize; guess some of those big shots weren't hitting the fairways. The big winner was Amol Singhal who was enjoying likely his best round ever taking the other Longest Drive, Lowest Gross with a 77 and Weekly Champion with 47 points! To go along with all the accolades Amol will also be enjoying a shiny new, much lower, handicap.
