D.O.G.S. Fourth Game at Rainbow Hills Golf Club

Updated: Oct 25, 2021

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,

To switch things up the D.O.G.S. skipped the Stone Hills course this week and played the original Rainbow Hills layout of Forest and Mountain courses. The weather was fantastic making for a very enjoyable day of golf.

It was good to see several guys joining us after a long hiatus; welcome back to Dave Keddington, Remon Moerman, Diarmuid Flanagan, Jude Alexander and Dennis Prangel.

The greens were quite tricky as evidenced by Remon Moerman taking Putting Champion with 30 putts. Sarah Brown showed up the men taking Longest Drive on Forest with a huge tee shot, Timo Karonen took the other. Our Lowest Gross winner was Dave Keddington with an 86. Timo scored 43 Stableford points which were more than enough to crown him Weekly Champion.

Check out full results on our Leaderboard.

Next week is our final round at Rainbow Hills; don't miss your chance to play. The course is in great shape and a lot of fun to play. Grab a friend and sign up to play.

Ball is touching or is on a movable obstruction

If a ball at rest is directly touching a moveable obstruction and when taking away the

obstruction, the ball moves, the ball must be placed back into its original position.

If the ball comes to a rest on or in a moveable obstruction the moveable obstruction should be lifted and the ball must be dropped within one club length from the best estimated position from where the ball would have been, if it would not have been on or in the moveable obstruction (not closer to the hole).

A ball was hit and is embedded after its landing

The ball must be marked, lifted and can be dropped behind the marker within one club

length not closer to the hole.

A ball lost in a flowerbed, which is marked with a blue post

If the ball can be found again, then the ball must be dropped at the closest point of relief within one club length, but not closer to the hole.

If the ball is not found, the ball is regarded a lost ball and the ball has to be played again from the last point, where the ball was hit within one club length, not closer to the hole (add one stroke penalty).
