D.O.G.S. Fourth Round at Imperial Klub Golf

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!

A great turnout with 51 players showing up to jockey for position in the Eclectic standings. Playing conditions were great allowing for 3 sub 80 rounds but the big news of the day was John Gustke getting a hole in 1 on the par 3, 5th hole; his first. John was so happy he bought wine and beer for the group after the round. Thank you and congratulations John!

Pace of play was not what we prefer but we are happy to report none of the D.O.G.S. groups were holding up play. The course was just overbooked. We were glad to see the marshals on the course doing their best to move groups along and appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience.

Welcome back to Graham Hooley who last played with us 12 years ago! Big welcome to newcomers Dian Sari and Herlyn Fransiska. We hope to see you both back soon.

So, to the play: It was the low handicapper week with Nic Verdenal and Sam Westen taking the Longest Drives, one of the Nearest to the Pin and one of the Drive & Pitch prizes - didn't leave much for the rest of us. However, Jude Alexander took the other Nearest to the Pin prize and Alessandro Perciante the other Drive & Pitch honour.

Richard Mau had his flat stick working well becoming this week's Putting Champion. Ash Hewitt seems to have lost his swing having a very bad day by his standards taking the Booby Prize although he had decided not to hang around to collect it - don't worry Ash, it'll catch up to you next time! Marc Desilets added to his Most Exercise collection winning the little trophy.

Sam Westen had the best round of the series so far with an impressive 73 off the stick but it took a count back to determine the top honours with Alessandro Perciante having to settle for the Runner Up prize making way for Richard Mau to be this week's Champion winning the Little Dog.

A big congratulations to all our winners this week!

So, with four rounds now complete Richard Mau is still holding on to an impressive lead at the top of the race for the Big Dog and Blue Jacket - but there's still 2 rounds to go. Check out the full results on the Leaderboard page or in the myGolf2u app as usual.

Next week is the penultimate round so please sign up as soon as possible and don't forget to let Rod know your preferred playing partners. Please also make sure you have confirmed that your preferred playing partners are their preferred playing partners!

Rules Information

How many clubs is a player allowed? Simple question and simple answer (14) but many times players are found to be in violation of the rule. This article goes into great detail about how many and where you may carry them as well as the repercussions. With many of us playing in match play (JIL) or friendly wagering games nobody wants to lose because an eagle eyed competitor notices an extra club.

Always remember to check your bag before teeing off. You never know when you may have forgotten about that extra club you put in for your trip to the range.

Imperial Charity

Donations collected during our Imperial tournament will be to support Ypai Indriya, a special needs school located in Bogor. More information can be found on our Charity Page.
