D.O.G.S. Fourth Round at Riverside Golf Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!

A big day with Tee Set joining us for their Annual Championship and Dinner with a total of 59 players including 35 participating in our 4th round in this Eclectic Series and a few choosing to play in both tournaments as well. There was a fair amount of mixing it all up with D.O.G.S. and Tee Set players playing together meaning that all players were able to benefit from our usual shotgun start on time - always good to see the two societies playing together and a big "thank you" from outgoing Tee Set President Geoff Thwaites to the D.O.G.S. for letting us join together. With absolutely perfect weather for golf everyone was finished and back relaxing in good time.

A big welcome to a D.O.G.S. newcomer Thijs Penning who was brought along by Dan Swinburne - hope to see much more of you Thijs.

So to the play: A good mixture of winners this week with Ezra Alexander and Shinta Sari showing us the accuracy of their approach shots taking the Drive & Pitch honours. Dan Swinburne and Reysia Moore hit the spot taking the Nearest to the pin prizes and Diarmuid Flanagan and Juju Juhaeriah on top form off the tee taking the Longest Drive prizes.

Sandra Novita had a long day at the office taking both the Booby and Most Exercise trophies - at least the weather was good! Richard Mau had his putter working well becoming this week's Putting Champion but was just defeated on a count back by Sam Westen for the Lowest Gross prize - don't see that on a count back very often!

Sam Westen did have to settle for Runner Up though as Alessandro Perciante took the Little Dog home - his first - grandi congratulazioni!

The first Little Dog of many I suspect!

A big congratulations to all our winners!

So with 4 rounds now complete things are taking shape at the top of the Eclectic Leaderboard with Claudio Ghelli seemingly in a strong position - but, as always, there's still plenty of time to catch him up with 2 rounds still to go! Check out the full standings on our Leaderboard page or in the mygolf2u app.

From time to time we get asked about rules exceptions; the D.O.G.S. play to USGA and local course rules. Familiarize yourself with our rules by checking out our dedicated page. While we don't announce it please be aware that the D.O.G.S. require scorecards to be filled out by someone other than themself.

So, as we say, grab a friend and sign up now for next week and don't forget to let Rod know your preferred playing partners.
