Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!
So, to our second round in the final series of the year with 31 players making the outing on Sunday, a rare change for the D.O.G.S. Good to dee John Gustke and Dewi Wardoyo back from their travels and Gaurav Shirke has resurfaced back in Jakarta again. Anna's sister Lena Fager was also back with us again. Great to see all of you back with us.
Well the weather was going to be a challenge this week but we were yet again fortunate. We had only some light'ish rain for part of the round but not enough to stop play. We managed to get off to an earlier start, being a Sunday, which saw everyone finished in good time and back in the club house. We even managed to get all the prize giving done before darkness came over us.
So, to the play: A couple of multiple winners this week with Agnes seemingly fully recovered from her broken collar bone taking one of the Nearest to the Pin and Longest Drive prizes. The others went to Nic Verdenal and Claudio Ghelli. The Drive & Pitch prizes went to Roberto Daniele and Roger Finnie. Gaurav welcomed his return by taking this week's Putting Champion Prize, albeit on a count back!
Colin Shanks escaped before we had the chance to award him the Most Exercise Trophy this week but Sarah Brown was around to collect her Booby Prize - her first and very out of character!
The Europeans cleaned up on the top prizes with the French and Italians taking the Lowest Gross and Runner Up - through Nic - and Alessandro taking the little Dog home to be this week's Champion.
A big congratulations to all our winners this week.
So, after 2 rounds it's still really too early to say who the top contenders will be in the race for the Big Dog but Nic has held on to his lead after round 1. The chasers have certainly shuffled around this week showing anything is possible and there's still a very long way to go. You can see the full results here.
Next week we will again be on Sunday to accommodate for the TeeSet Championship being played on Saturday. Emil Marcelo and his fellow Jakarta Golf Club members have challenged the D.O.G.S. to a matchplay next week and they are putting up an 8 person team. Nic will captain our team and anyone willing to take part please let Rod, John or Nic know. It will, of course, be part of our usual 3rd round in the Eclectic Series.

Next week we are once again playing Sunday. We will shotgun start at 12 Noon so please be there in good time. If you have a specific group you wish to play with, inform Rod of your preferred playing partners and ensure that your choices align with theirs,
