D.O.G.S. Third Round at Pondok Cabe Golf & Country Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,

Saturday loomed as a gloomy day in Jakarta with early morning rain and dark clouds. Undaunted, 15 brave souls headed down to Pondok Cabe for the third round of our first eclectic for 2020. 3 holes in it was looking like a foolhardy decision as the skies opened up. The weather didn’t phase Braveheart McQuater, our diehard Scotsman however, rumour has it he never even noticed the double dose of Scottish sunshine!!!!! But the worst of it was soon over and we were able to complete the round in relative coolness for a change.

For the first time in a while, the skill prizes were distributed amongst six different winners. Jens Roestel is clearly adapting well to the greens of Pondok Cabe with a Gross 82 and 39 stableford Points and only 26 putts – but ran into Tribhuvan Singh (TPS) who was running hot and his 89 off the stick earned him 45 Stableford Points (and a slice off that handicap!!!!) to take the Little Dog.

Players are requested to be at the course 1 hour early so pairings can be made and we can take advantage of early start should it be possible.

If you are delayed getting to the course please let us know and we will make sure arrangements are made for when you arrive at the course. Similarly, please let us know if you decide not to play.

Competition with POCKSIA

Don’t forget D.O.G.S./YHOG/POCKSIA day on the 15th. Should be a great day to catch up, with a competition to spice up the mix.

The YHOG Boys will be hosting a BBQ that afternoon so there will be chance for the tall tales to grow taller over a glass or two after.

YHOG Charity Ride

On the subject of YHOG – The Yayasan will be doing a charity ride to one of their supported orphanages on the 9th of February, if anyone has any hand-me-down kids clothes (0-15), shoes or toys you don’t need anymore the boys will take them off your hands – please contact KD if you can help.
