Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!
We had an impressive turnout for the first round of our new Eclectic Tournament. It's been a decade since the D.O.G.S. last played this course. While on paper this course is "easier" than the West Course we tackled last year, the experience told a different story. With its stunningly beautiful layout and numerous challenging holes, it truly tested the D.O.G.S. The #1 handicap, the diabolical Valley #3, is certain to challenge many scorecards throughout the tournament. Kudos to Jens Roestel for achieving the only par of the day on this hole.
Despite the challenges, it was a fantastic day for golf, with the sun shining on us all day. The pace of play was a bit slow, but this was not due to us waiting on other groups, simply to the effort required to navigate the course. All players finished, showered, and were enjoying après-golf beverages in the clubhouse well before dark.
Welcome to H Yamaguchi and S Sugawara, and a warm welcome back to James Bristow, whom we haven't seen in quite some time. Thank you all for joining us.

Young Carter Cross excelled on the course, securing 4 prizes: both Longest Drives, a Drive & Pitch, and the Lowest Gross award. Carter efficiently expedited the prize ceremony by collecting all 4 at once.
The Nearest to the Pin prizes were claimed by Richard Mau and Harry Kwak, while Shinta captured the other Drive & Pitch.
Don Duttlinger, despite debating every putt with his caddie, mastered the challenging greens to win the Putting Champion title, and Viora earned both the Most Exercise and Booby prizes.
Sepand delivered a strong performance off the Blues to secure the Runner Up prize, and Bobby Cangkrama emerged as our Weekly Champion.
Congratulations to all of this week's winners.
You can review the early results on the leaderboard and strategize your path to earning a Blue Jacket.
We've secured an earlier start than other tournaments this year, and the course had us starting precisely on time. Ensure you arrive at least half an hour before the scheduled tee time to assist the organizers. We cannot wait for latecomers, so if you're delayed, please see the starter to join your group.
Next week, players will have another opportunity to tackle this course with a revised strategy based on insights from Round 1. Sign up now and promptly inform Rod of your preferred playing partners.

Rules Information
Once a putt is conceded, that player’s hole is over. You may still tap it—unless your partner still has a putt on the same line. If your putt could show them the line, your partner’s score can’t count for the side on that hole. (Rule 23.6 Exception). Watch this video for a quick explainer

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Manila Dogs will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary at Club Intramuros Golf Course in Manila.
John and Rod are planning to travel and join them for this special occasion.
