Penultimate Round at Klub Golf Bogor Raya

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!

We had a fantastic turnout with 51 Dogs eager to enhance their Eclectic scorecard in the penultimate round of this tournament. Despite concerns about the weather due to rains the day before and a forecast predicting more, these worries proved unfounded. We were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful day on the course, allowing everyone to finish well before nightfall.

Thank you to San Miguel for the pre-round refreshments players enjoyed prior to teeing off.

Welcome to Thomas, Basuni Lamid and Sonny Halim who joined us for their first D.O.G.S. round.

Anirudh, showcasing his impressive golfing skills, secured three prizes: Nearest to Pin, Longest Drive, and Lowest Gross with a remarkable score of 70! Murthy claimed the other Nearest to Pin prize, complementing his Drive and Pitch award perfectly. Steve Sutton won the additional Longest Drive, while Paul Eckhardt earned the remaining Drive and Pitch.

Craig Edwards confidently stepped up to the podium to claim the Putting Champion honors. Remon Moerman proudly accepted the Booby Prize, and Kitty was thrilled to receive the Most Exercise award.

Jeremy Oberoi excelled by scoring 41 stableford points, securing the Runner Up position. Our Weekly Champion is Murthy, who dominated with 44 points to claim the Little Dog.

Going into this round Anirudh, Ash and Jaakko were tied with 63.00 each. With Jaakko away this week both Anirudh and Ash made improvements and put some distance between them and Jaakko. However, Paul Eckhardt came surging out of 5th place making 7 points of improvements to leapfrog into the first spot. Paul now goes into the final round with a 2.5 point lead. This should make for an exciting finish. Full results can be found on the leaderboard.

What better way to end a day of golf than with a party; next week we will be celebrating 20 years of D.O.G.S. at the clubhouse. There will be a buffet dinner, live band and some very special door prizes. Thanks to all who have contributed sponsorship for this event which means there will be no extra charge for the evening - even corkage has been settled!!!

Manila Dogs 25th Anniversary

Our founder, Fritz Hainzl, was originally a member of the Manila Dogs. When he moved to Jakarta, he saw an opportunity to create a similar organization—what we now know as the Djakarta Old Golf Society (D.O.G.S.)

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Manila Dogs will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary at Club Intramuros Golf Course in Manila.

John and Rod are planning to travel and join them for this special occasion.
