Hail the DOGS n Bitches...!
Big Thanks to Kevin Dobson and Mike Gavin for taking the fines and compliling the score sheets, John Brown for fighting off his pain from gout to get around the course quick enough to arrange and bring this weeks prizes to the table. 45 players had another great dry round however, only 41 score sheets were handed in, if you had to leave early or simply forgot to hand your card in, just hand the score card in and pay your fines at the next round. We will add the holes that you scored on. Alternatively you may scan your score card and send it to us. Congratulations to this weeks Winners and Best Losers, Glen O'Leary stepped up for his first round with the DOGS and only his third ever round of golf, that may explain his 6 stableford points... (yes Glen, I adjusted your handicap so you moved up from 4 points LOL!) he'll be proud to know that's our all time lowest to date.
Glen also took the most exercise prize this week (no where near our highest) so well done to you for your first round with us.
As you can see by the attached note, it takes a lot of balls to play golf the way we do!!! (Thanks to Adrian Scholten I've added a few more of his golfing giggles!! An outstanding days putting for Ad Van Der Linden with 22, I take it he didn't make many greens in regulation... either that or we'll send a Marshall out to help Ad and his Spanish compadre count shots!!!
Speaking of our Spaniard... Chefo (Jose Durban) whom has now extended his lead for the 4th week in a row!!! Only 3 shots separate the top 5 slots and just 7 shots between the top 15 DOGS on the leader board, so it's still any one's chance to win the BIG DOG and the entitlement to wear the infamous DOGS BLUE Jacket!!!
Ad also shot an 83 to take Best Gross and although being a previous DOGS Champion our Sweaty Sock Jock (Scotsman for those who miss British slang) Neil Maclean was Weekly Champion for his first time, great result but that will cost him his handicap in the race for this Eclectic Championship!!
All the top prizes were OCB (On Count Back) well done to all!!!
The FINAL ROUND is our DOGS n HOGS weekend, where the fines are donated to the well deserving GENTUR CLEFT FOUNDATION and birth defect operations. The HOGS provided 99 operations last year and with your help in attending the DOGS n HOGS weekends, they aim to beat that number this year. You may also want to buy tickets to this Years HOGFEST (See FRANK MUSGROVE) or reply and let us know you would like tickets. It's great nights entertainment for all.
