Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!
Another glorious day greeted the 37 players who made the journey out for out 3rd round of this Eclectic Series, including many of our friends from Pocksia.
A few faces we don't see very often but are always welcome - Tom Grace and Cucu, Grant Lutz, Craig Edwards, Viboon and Viora. Hope you can join us more often please!
Well the weather was even better than last week and the course in very good condition - in fact, probably one of the best maintained courses around, even with all the rain we have seen over the last few months. The fairways are looking very lush and green and the greens fast and true.
The day started with some delicious Bloody Marys kindly provided by the Moore's as is a Pocksia tradition - but available to all, of course. Thanks David and Rey.
The course was pretty busy in the morning so we had a very slightly delayed start and off the front nine for a welcome change. Fortunately, the morning groups soon cleared the course, and our pace of play was steady with all finishing in reasonable time. It seems our pace of play is considerable faster than some of those fighting for the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush with some of their rounds taking nearly 6 hours!!!
So, to the play: Richard Mau had a good day for sure. He went home having won one of the Drive & Pitch prizes, the Putting Champion, the Low Gross and the Runner Up prizes - well done Richard. The Nearest to the Pin honours went to Bilal and Rod - now there's something you don't see very often! Claudio and Hitoshi took the Longest Drive prizes with Hitoshi also taking the other Drive & Pitch honour.

Last week saw Ash Hewitt having a pretty good round but not this week, unfortunately - this time he went home with the Cricket Bat - oh, and we took the opportunity to present Axel with his from last week!!
It was very fitting that the Little Dog went to Craig Pendek- it really is only the little Dog even though it might look like the Big Dog in your hands mate!!!
Congratulations to all of this week's winners.
So, we're now at the halfway stage of the race for the Blue Jacket and things are starting to take shape at the top of the leaderboard. Chris Barnett sits at the top but he will take no further part in this series as he heads back to the US for a month or so, and with only 2.5 points separating the top 5 there's plenty to play for over the remaining 3 rounds. As we have seen many times before it's still quite possible for just about anyone to leap to the top - look at Bryson DeChambeau's incredible round on Friday to make sure he didn't miss the cut in the Open!!! So, you can check out the full results on the leaderboard.
So, get ready for next week as we head into round 4 and be sure to register early, and, as usual, let Rod know your preferred playing partners as early as possible - thanks.

Rules Information

Your ball has come to rest against a rake near a bunker. What are your options?
Don't worry, the rules address this situation. Just remove the rake, and if the ball moves, place it back on its original spot without incurring a penalty.
