Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!
Another beautiful day as 45 players turned out for our final round in this Eclectic Series at Imperial Klub Golf.
Some new and some old Dogs came out to join us today so we say a big welcome back to Jesse Shaw, Michael Hui and David Yong and a welcome to Hakim Moui. Good to see Bill Lloyd, Laurent Bessieres and Mikko Heinonen back after a long'ish absence.
We also had a very special guest with us this week - Nicholas Fung - a multiple winner on the Asian Tour and keen to get in as much on-course practice as possible before he competes in the Indonesian Open 2022 at Pondok Indah Golf course from the 4th to the 7th August. Nick played off the Gold Tees and shot a very competitive 1 under 71. He also kindly agreed to present the prizes to all our winners this week - many thanks Nick and we'll all be rooting for you this week.
So to the play: The Nearest to the Pin prizes this week went the Nick Fung and Jeremy Oberoi - the difference being Nick was off the Gold Tees! Reysia Moore took both Longest Drive honours whilst Robbie Crozier took the only Drive & Pitch this week! Jeremy Oberoi showed us how to miss greens and keep his putts on the green short and accurate by being this week's Putting Champion. Oh - we should note that losing a ball off the green when your caddie accidently drops it is no excuse for "not pushing your caddie into the water" as happened to poor David Moore's unlucky caddie on the 4th hole - fortunately David and Andrew Goode managed to rescue the poor girl - and the clubs she was holding - but the ball ended up in the proverbial Davy Jones Locker! - no harm done.
Back to the play - Laurent Bessieres and Hakim Moui both had a long day at the office taking the Booby and Most Exercise prizes this week. Gaurav Shirke shot an impressive score taking the Lowest Gross prize with Terence Martin just missing out on the Little Dog becoming this week's Runner up. So this led the way for Jeremy "I miss greens in regulation" Oberoi to take the Little Dog home, adding to his growing kennel, as this week's Champion.
Congrats to all this week's winners.
So, this week saw the final round of this Eclectic Series with the Big Dog and Blue Jacket up for grabs. Even after some movement from the chasing pack, Gaurav Shirke managed to hold off the chasers and take home another Big Dog and Blue jacket. Congratulations to Gaurav! - and he also took home the Lowest Gross Average trophy as well! (by the way Gaurav - you beat Jeremy by 0.1 compared to his final eclectic score last time at Rainbow Hills - the boy still has a lot to learn!).
The top ten was a good mix with the ladies featuring strongly.
A great series and a big congratulations to all winners and all who participated. It's worth mentioning the outstanding support we got from the staff and management at Imperial - we'll be back. Please check out he full results through our Leaderboard page or in the mygolf2u app as usual.
There was a couple of matchplays for the President's Challenge which ended with a result with Michael Mueller defeating Eric Mary 1 up - but Leon Bivolaru and Jude Alexander couldn't be separated so have agreed to play again.
The Charity this series was the ISCO where you generously donated Rp. 6.157.000 making the total you have contributed this year to a whopping Rp. 57.962.000 to all our supported charities - thanks to everyone.
After the golf festivities were over a few die hard souls ventured around the corner to the Climaxx Club - much food and fluid refreshment was consumed and even some singing and dancing.

So, there we go - another successful series done - with 250 rounds of golf played! - fantastic support everyone.
We now move back towards the Bogor courses with our next series at Klub Golf Bogor Raya - a great course with great facilities.
