Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,
26 Players arrived at Modern for our Penultimate round of this tournament. At our request the club had us set up outside on the patio in the fresh air. Even better they were able to get us off way ahead of schedule minimizing the amount of time the group was together as a whole. Groups were heading to the tees by 11:05.
The weather also cooperated switching between a bit overcast and sunny spots. This kept the temperature down and made for comfortable playing conditions.
Welcome to Aaron Davis and Ian Pemberton who joined us for their first rounds. Thank you to Kamel for taking care of Ian on his first round.
Dave Prosser was back with us after a short break and announced his return by taking both Longest Drives. James Bristow has become accustomed to taking at least one of these each week had to settle for only winning Deemples Lowest Net (70), Lowest Gross (81) and Runner Up. Eric Mary was only able to grab one prize but it was for Weekly Champion. Well done Eric.

Going into our final round James Bristow is still just in front of Craig Edwards but Keith Gorman is hot on their tail. Many in the top 10 could surprise with a good round next week. Watch out for sniper Richard Mau to make a move.

COVID-19
As of now golf is still permitted and we will continue to play to our schedule as long as it is allowed and considered safe.
Rather than rewriting already published information we have borrowed our friends at Tee Set's well written caution.
There is sufficient information available publicly for each member and guest to be adequately informed on the risks associated with the virus and steps which can be taken to protect oneself. We expect each member to therefore form their own judgement as to whether it is appropriate, and they feel comfortable enough, to join each week.
We are talking to the management of the golf courses booked for the coming few weeks to ensure they have in place policies to check the status of their guests, staff and caddies as well to maintain an appropriate level of hygiene and cleanliness in both public and back of house areas. We may adjust our schedule if we are uncomfortable with the feedback we get so please rely on the blogs rather than the published schedule for the latest updates.
Key personal guidelines include maintain a safe personal distance from others and being thorough in regularly washing hands etc.. We expect individuals will follow these steps for themselves and ask you are also conscious to respect the boundaries for others you come into contact with – notably on the course, on carts and in the Club House before and after games.
We expect that any pronouncements on changes in government policy/rules will come at very short notice. We will pass information through our WhatsApp group as appropriate.
