Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!
Sunset draws in as we settled back in the club house for the prize giving and the usual merriment. We had 43 players for our fifth and penultimate round in this Eclectic Series. A couple of guests from overseas joined us, Jim Schnieders and Tony Wozniak - although Tony has played with us many years ago...
The course was busy in the morning, so we were unable to get an early start this week, and unfortunately progress on the Stone course was rather slow but everything picked up and we all finished in good time.
So, to the play: A strong showing from Juju Juhaeriah saw her take both the Longest Drive Prizes whilst Alberto Gonzales took both the Drive & Pitch honours. Lukas Musial and Justin Pianca hit some accurate tee shots winning them the Nearest to the Pin Prizes. John Brown joined the winners this week becoming this week's Putting Champion. Paul Barnett enjoyed his new handicap by taking home the little cricket bat for the Booby Prize whilst, for the Most Exercise, Dewi Wardoyo took home the trophy for the 3rd week running.....please let someone else win next week!
Joseph Peries had a good and steady day winning the Lowest Gross Prize whilst Andrew Goode had to settle for Runner Up leaving the way clear for Alberto Gonzales to take home the Little Dog and be this week's Champion.
A big congratulations to all this week's winners.
We also had some unfinished business to take care of - Steve Sutton had to return Minn's little dog Ice, to be replaced by the little Fritz following his win last week.

So, with 5 rounds now complete and only one more to go it's still tight at the top with Juju regaining her top spot but by only 0.3. from Minn Tun and only 1.5 separating the top 5....so it's wide open. Please check out the full standings on our Leaderboard page or in the myGolf2u app.
Next week the full parade of Dogs will be out, Little, Mini and Big Dog as well as the Blue Jacket for the lucky winner. Just a reminder to all those past Blue Jacket winner to bring them along for the customary photo shoot.

Please also make sure you have confirmed that your preferred playing partners are their preferred playing partners! Also note that signing up early helps a lot in getting things ready with the club - thanks.
