Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!
How could you ever get tired of that view of Gunung Salak, especially on a beautiful morning? Well, we were blessed again with good golf weather for the 30 players who made the quick journey down the toll.
Some new faces and some we haven't seen for a while, so a big welcome to Yulius Setiarto and Prilly Radhitya and welcome back to Maria Kurniawati and Lee Jones.
The course seemed fairly quiet in the morning meaning we could start 30 minutes early with our usual shotgun, even though some of the morning groups hadn't quite cleared our starting holes. However, play got underway, and the pace was steady resulting in everyone finishing in good time.
So, to the play: Good to see Agnes Berkenhoff winning one of the Nearest to the Pin prizes with Claudio taking the other. The ladies were at it again with Cindy winning one of the Longest Drive prizes and Holger winning the other. Steve Sutton wasn't going to let anyone beat him as he won both the Drive & Pitch prizes. The greens haven't quite got back to perfect condition post Ramadan yet so putting is challenging but Jude Alexander did better than the rest of the field becoming this week's Putting Champion.
So, on the first week at Rancamaya Terence Martin went home with the Little Dog, this week he went from hero to zero winning the Booby Prize, albeit with a very respectable 26 points. Raj Chandak took the long way round winning this week's Most Exercise Trophy.
Mike Corsini had a good round winning the Low Gross prize and Mike Webb kept himself in the running for the Big Dog by becoming this week's Runner Up. This left Indar Dhaliwal open to take home the Little Dog and become this week's Champion.
A big congratulations to all our winners this week!
A good drive by Kevin "Yo Dogs" Dobson
and another good drive by Rod - the weight loss is starting to pay dividends!
So, with only one round to go, things are heating up at the top of the Eclectic leaderboard with John Brown holding onto a 1.9 point lead over Nic Verdenal and Bobby Cangkrama making a late charge to sit in third place. Next week should be interesting - can JB win his seventh Blue Jacket or will Nic claim his third in 5 months?
All will be revealed next week during our big Rancamaya Weekend. Full results after the penultimate round can be seen on the Leaderboard page or in the myGolf2u app as usual.

ANZA Student Sponsorship Program Update
The D.O.G.S. collections from our Pondok Cabe end of 2023 tournament went to the ANZA Student Sponsorship Program. Louise Kennedy the Program Coordinator sent us this update.
The D.O.G.S. donation of Rp 7,707,000 has funded sponsorships for seven students this year, Qisya, Sarah, Zahir and Riyan, plus three new students, Adel, Irhana and Raisa, whose profiles are attached so you have a little background information about them.
I also have pleasure in sending you everyone's first semester reports and as you can see, they are all getting on very well and achieving excellent grades - in some cases, really outstanding ones! The three new girls are all on track to pass the Elementary School Certificate with high grades, so thank you for supporting them during this important year of their education.
Santi and the team are currently organising the annual stationery distribution for the new school year and they will be visiting the Elementary schools on Wednesday 22 May (At Taqwa) and Thursday 30 May (Esti Bakti) - if you are interesting in joining them, please let me know and I can put you in touch with Santi or Michelle who can make arrangements with you.
With many thanks as always to you and everyone at D.O.G.S. for your amazing support, and sending you best wishes from Glasgow,
Louise
