D.O.G.S. Final Round at Imperial Klub Golf

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!

And so we came to our final round at Imperial Klub Golf and a chance to enjoy the dusky sunset - even though we didn't get to sit in the Sunset Bar again due to another wedding. The Big Dog was out to play along with the Little Dog and the Mini Dogs and with some of the leaders away there was everything to play for. A total of 47 players turned out - a few regulars were off somewhere playing with POCKSIA - but that didn't detract from the great afternoon with perfect golfing conditions. Over the 6 weeks we have played 351 rounds of golf with 122 different players - a big thank you to all of you for the great support for the D.O.G.S.

Some newcomers as usual this week: Alex Nainggolan, Aprilda Fiona, Shivansh Pandey and Wolfgang Mueller. Good to see some old faces returning after a while, Shivashish Pandey and Yarub Obaidalla - a big welcome to all of you.

So, the first order of business was the 6th round with the skills prizes being nicely shared around. Agnes Berkenhoff clearly doesn't take after her hubby when it comes to golf as she took one of the Nearest to the Pin prizes this week with Terence Martin taking the other. Steve Sutton and Sami Kekonen kept their drives in the fairway taking the Longest Drive prizes whilst Alessandro Perciante and John Brown had accurate approach shots taking the Drive & Pitch prizes. Some impressive putting with these challenging pin positions saw Richard Mau take this week's Putting Champion prize. Roberto Daniele took the Booby Prize with a fairly respectable points tally and Dewi Williams took the Most Exercise Trophy with again a fairly respectable total - you shouldn't feel to hard done by with those totals.

Our intrepid MC Kevin Dobson had a good round but could only make Runner Up this week leaving the way for Terence Martin to take his 2nd Little Dog from Imperial becoming this week's Champion.

This course has seen a number of Eagles and this week was no exception with James Bristow holing out on the par 4 third hole - great shot James.

A big congratulations to all our winners this week!!

So, we came to the final results in this Eclectic Series and with a couple of the front runners missing this week it was certainly tight going into the round. As we see so many times there is always a pleasant surprise to look forward to and this series was no exception. Richard Mau took the Lowest Gross Average Trophy to add to his collection. So the way was left for Alessandro Perciante to get the improvement he needed to rise to the top and become our Imperial Klub Golf Eclectic Champion for 2023 taking the Big Dog and the Blue Jacket - a big congratulations to him and all the top ten winners.

Note: Yarub accepted Indar Dhaliwal's Mini Dog for his 2nd place and Claudio Ghelli was presented with his Blue Jacket from the Riverside Eclectic at the end of 2022.

And, as usual, we had the Blue Jacket parade with our past winners helping to welcome Alessandro into the fold.

A big congratulations to all our winners as usual and thanks to everyone for making this Eclectic Series such a big success.

You can check out the full standings on our Leaderboard page or in the mygolf2u app.

Our Charity for this series was the Al Wafa school for abandoned children in Bogor. You generously donated IDR 7.885.000 which will help enormously to their cause - a big thank you to all who contributed.
