Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,
Well, it seems the rainy season decided to start on Friday evening and Matoa didn't escape a good drenching. It made for soft and soggy spots on some parts of the course, but there was still a bit of run in the fairways and it was nothing a few Bintang's couldn't fix.
With many away for the Bali Classic a modest field of 22 players turned up for our 1st round at Matoa. Nabil Wareeth was the bolter in round one, racking up 42 points and making sure he'll never see that handicap again! Nabil's secret was mastering the greens that were slower than we've been used to; making only 29 putts. Andreas Janssen posted the lowest gross of the day with 86 off the stick, quite respectable given the changing conditions.

A big weekend next weekend with the Star Deli Tournament on Saturday, followed up by the D.O.G.S. playing day on Sunday. We should have Matoa well and truly trained by then! Don't miss out on the fun.
