Hail the D.O.G.S. !!!!!
After a 2-year hiatus, the D.O.G.S. made a triumphant return to Riverside, eager to reclaim the course. With Easter weekend clearing the way, they arrived to find an empty course, enabling an early tee-off. Sunny skies and hot weather set the perfect stage for groups starting on tees 1 and 10.
With open fairways ahead, players advanced swiftly, making excellent time. Though rain briefly paused play on the back nine, it soon cleared, allowing everyone to finish in about four and a half hours.
Once in the clubhouse, everyone refreshed with cool and delightful beverages courtesy of San Miguel Indonesia.
Tony Wood and Roger Finnie shared the Nearest to Pin prizes. Paul Eckhardt secured one of the Longest Drives, while President John Brown took the other. Tim Knight and Alastair Livingston each claimed a Drive & Pitch. Patrick Chaundy endured a challenging day, taking home both the Booby Prize and Most Exercise.
The Notorious Golf Club has become a regular presence, with Ali Djawas earning titles as both Putting Champion and Runner Up, Ridwan Chan achieving Lowest Gross, and Betha Wanggai emerging as our Weekly Champion. Although Betha had to leave early, Remon Moerman proudly posed with his Little Dog.
The day's most jubilant golfer award went to Tony Wood, whose impressive approach shot from about 105 meters on 16 landed in the cup for an Eagle!
