D.O.G.S. Fourth Round at Modern Golf & Country Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!

The D.O.G.S. turned up to a busy course but were afforded an early start and great golfing conditions. This is the part of the tournament where we see a lot of movement in the standings and players took advantage of the conditions to move up the leaderboard. A few players who were unable to play due to other obligations will notice they have tumbled down in the standings.

Following a quick pace of play everyone was settled into the clubhouse enjoying refreshing beverages courtesy of San Miguel as the evening set in.

Jaako Valli and Aknes took the Nearest to Pin prizes, although Aknes had a bit of a scare on her birdie put. Bruno Funke shared Longest Drive honours with Jim Schnieders while Colin Shanks and Alessadro Perciate won the Drive & Pitch awards.

Despite most everyone else having 3 weeks to figure out the greens Tony Tanus took the Putting Champion prize on his first outing of this Eclectic. Looks like Colin Shanks used up his good shots on hole 9 as he was back on the podium to pick up 2 more awards; Booby Prize and Most Exercise.

Many of us were oblivious to the ongoing simmering rivalry between John Gustke and Jim Schnieders. Their phone keyboards have been busy since Jim claimed the Little Dog in week 2. This week, John got his revenge by securing the Lowest Gross and defeating Jim on a count-back to win the Little Dog and become the Weekly Champion, while Jim walked away as the Runner Up.

A big congratulations to all our winners this week.

Going into our Penultimate round Hitoshi still sits atop the leaderboard but his lead has been reduced to a tie with Jacob Smith with many others just 1 point back. You can check out the full results here.

Last Monday, a group of Dogs headed over to the Panti Asuhan Kristen Karena Doa Orphanage in Sawangan, which received the benefits from our Rancamaya Charity weekend. Besides the 20 million IDR we donated, Malcolm & Nisha Collis also brought KFC lunches and fruit for everyone. The kids were thrilled and even sang some songs for us. Give yourselves a pat on the back for helping out the orphanage!
