D.O.G.S. Fourth Round at Rainbow Hills Golf Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!

Now into our fourth round at Rainbow Hills and another beautiful afternoon for golf with 50 players making the trip up the hill. The starter got us off early at 11:30am this week which meant all were finished in good time to enjoy the Apres Golf.

A big welcome to the newcomers Daniel Park and Mike Winny, and some faces we haven't seen for a while; Mark Blake, Charles Lim, Scott Walkey and Okkie Nikijuluw - good to see you back and we hope you don't leave it too long before we see you again.

So, to the play: Again the ladies featured well this week with Siti Fatimah taking one of the Nearest to the Pin prizes, Rey Moore and Okkie taking Longest Drive prizes leaving the other Nearest to the Pin prize to Alberto Gonzales and the Drive & Pitch prizes to Mark Blake and Charles Lim. David Moore had his flat stick working well becoming this week's Putting Champion.

Dean Merrliees must have had his mind on other things taking this week's Booby Prize and, unfortunately for the second week running, Dewi Wardoyo enjoyed her long walk around the course winning the Most Exercise Trophy.

Reysia Moore had to settle for the Runner Up prize leaving the way for Steve Sutton to have the round of his life taking both the Lowest Gross and winning the Weekly Champion prizes. Unfortunately, the Little Dog had not made its way to the course this week so we'll have to remember to give it to you next week Steve. However, Minn Tun's little dog, Ice, had made it the club so kindly volunteered to stand in....thanks Ice.

A big congratulations to all this week's winners.

Craig Edwards hits a good drive on Stone 4.

and Dewi Williams also hitting a good drive on Stone 4.

So, with 4 weeks gone there has been quite a bit of movement at the top of the Eclectic with Minn Tun taking the narrowest of leads over Steve Sutton - right into the second decimal place, but, with only 1.4 separating the top 5 and 3.3 the top 10 it's still wide open for the final two rounds coming up, so please check out the full standings on our Leaderboard page or in the myGolf2u app.

So, as we always say, grab a friend and sign up for our penultimate round at Rainbow Hills and don't forget to let Rod know your preferred playing partners. Please also make sure you have confirmed that your preferred playing partners are their preferred playing partners! Also note that signing up early helps a lot in getting things ready with the club - thanks.

The Rules of Golf may have been simplified in 2019, but there are certain Rules that some golfers still find confusing...
