D.O.G.S. Penultimate Round at Klub Golf Bogor Raya

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!

So we came to our fifth and penultimate round in the Bogor Raya Eclectic Series with 39 players in the field this week. The starter had us off on time again and play proceeded at good pace until the rains, thunder and lightning came which stopped proceedings for a short while. Play resumed and everyone managed to finish in good time in daylight before the rains came again.

Good to see some faces we haven't seen for a while such as Steve Lowry and Emiliano Bernasconi. Dean Merrilees and Siti Fatimah came out for their first ever round at Bogor Raya - I'm sure it won't be your last!.

So to the play: Rod Williams and Holger Molendyk showed their accuracy off the tee winning the Nearest to the Pin prizes while Akhil Aggarwal and Ezra Alexander had their drivers working taking the Longest Drive honours. Akhil Aggarwal and Holger Molendyk had the best approach shots to win the Drive & Pitch prizes.

We were back the little cricket bat for the Booby Prize which went to Ezra Alexander despite his longest drive and Siti Fatimah had a pleasant afternoon walk around parts of the course nobody else saw gaining the Most Exercise trophy.

Dennis Prangel had the short stick working earning him this week's Putting Champion and leading him to this week's Runner Up spot. Richard Mau had another accurate round taking the Lowest Gross prize home.

This left Robson Drumond to have a great round and become this week's Champion taking home the Little Dog. Congrats Robson!

As always, congratulations to all our winners.

A bit short on photos this week everyone - please snap away and send through so we can include them in the weekly post - thanks.

So now with only one round to go things are tightening up at the top. Richard Mau still holds the lead but there's been a fair amount of movement below him so it's still up for grabs. Next week is looking like it will be an exciting round as we so often see in the Eclectic.

Please check out the full results through our Leaderboard page or in the mygolf2u app as usual.

We had one match play towards the President Challenge with Jude Alexander defeating Leon Bivolaru 3 & 1. We're getting to the business end of this tournament now so check out the current standings here.

Big thanks to Kopi NTC Flores for donating their coffee to give out as some extra prizes - Indonesian coffee is world famous with many different varieties.

We now head to the final round of this Eclectic Series so, as we always say; grab a friend, please sign up early as we are limited to 56 players and let Rod know your preferred playing partners as usual. For those of you who have Blue Jackets please don't forget to bring them for our usual photo session with the new winner.

An often overlooked part of the game that is worth going over.

Thank you to everyone for putting your scores into myGolf2u. It makes the administration much easier and allows for us to announce prize winners a lot quicker than past years. However, we still need the scorecards; they are considered the correct record of the round and are cross checked each week with scores entered. They also have putts on them which the app doesn't. Some players are not tallying up their scorecards before submitting. If putts are not totalled that card is not being considered for Putting Champion.

Lastly, please submit your scorecard before going to showers.

WhatsApp Group We have 2 WhatsApp groups for members; our Chatter group which is used for sharing jokes and non-D.O.G.S. related information and our Updates group where we share information specific to D.O.G.S. rounds. If you would like to be added to either or both of these groups please send us an email with your cell phone number to
