Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,
28 players turned out for our Penultimate round at Modern. The course was well prepared and the D.O.G.S. were underway ahead of planned tee time. Despite the sunny weather the course was quite soggy from overnight rains so players were afforded the luxury of lift clean and place. As has been the norm at Modern, once off the first tee, the groups quickly spread out and play moved along at a reasonable pace putting everyone into the club house with plenty of daylight to spare.
Newcomers Nick "Shabby" Lewis, Richard Green, Steve Benson and Harry Lopez all played their first round with the D.O.G.S. Thanks for coming out guys, we hope you enjoyed the day and will be back soon.
New guy Shabby made his presence known to the D.O.G.S. by taking 3 skill prizes, Longest Drive x2 and a Drive & Pitch. Another newbie Steve Benson was a double winner with the Bobby Prize and Most Exercise. Long time Dog Dougy McQuater has been missing from the dispatches for some time but is back in the news winning the other Drive & Pitch and the 1st Runner Up prize. Tim Knight, no longer a Jakarta commuter, shot an 83 to take Lowest Gross for the day. Sarah Brown showed the boys how to play golf 38 Stableford points and was crowned Weekly Champion.
With 1 game left in this Eclectic tournament David Prosser, who didn't play this week, is still clinging to his Eclectic lead with a 0.35 gap between him and Len Ogembo. A good round by anyone in the top 10 could see them leapfrog over David and Len to take the Big Dog.
Richard Mau, who also was not here this week, is out in front for Lowest Gross with a pretty comfortable lead. Richard will not be playing next week but he will be tough to catch and may already have secured the trophy, it will take someone with a pretty low round to get by him.

Blue Jackets
Next week we will be crowning our latest Champion, during our prize awards ceremony we will take the opportunity to award Blue Jackets to previous Champions who have not received theirs. As such, past Champion's are asked to wear their Blue Jackets after the round.
