D.O.G.S. Penultimate Round at Pondok Cabe Golf & Country Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,

Things did not look good early in the day with Jakarta waking to a downpour; nonetheless 20 players turned up for our penultimate round at Pondok Cabe to compete for the Little Dog and jockey for position in the Eclectic. By the time all had arrived at the course the rain was a memory. Players got an early start and were able to get around the course at a very quick pace while enjoying good weather.

Katsuaki Takahashi joined the D.O.G.S. during the first round at Pondok Cabe and has enjoyed the play so much he brought along 2 friends; welcome to Kenji Kawabata and Ryo Yamaguchi, welcome to the D.O.G.S. gents!

We also had visits from some Dogs who haven't played in a while; Carter Brisebois is back after 12 years and Ezra North played his first round in 9. Great to have you both back.

Although not as long a break as Carter and Ezra's appearances it was good to see Kamel Lakhdari, Nabil Wareeth and Tahir Chaudry back with us also.

Axel Hertzke kept up with the stellar play he has been exhibiting at Pondok Cabe taking home 5 prizes! Most notably Lowest Gross with a 79 and winning the Little Dog as our Weekly Champion. Great effort Axel! At the other end of the spectrum new guy Ryo Yamaguchi was our Most Exercise winner with 121 shots. Keep coming back Ryo, it only gets better.

Going into our final week Axel Hertzke is sitting at the top of the standings in both the Eclectic and Lowest Gross. James Bristow is trying to run him down in the Lowest Gross and there are several who have a shot at catching up in the Eclectic.

To add to the excitement next week we will be having a competition against POCKSIA followed by a barbecue hosted by the YHOGs. There will be pulled pork sandwiches and hamburgers with some delicious side dishes available along with a few beverages. Price to D.O.G.S. will be 200K per head. All game fees and proceeds from this round will be donated to the YHOGs to support the work they do to change the lives of children across Indonesia through harelip and cleft palate surgeries.

For those not competing against POCKSIA we will be running the final round of the Eclectic and the weekly game for the Little Dog along with the usual prizes.

Players are requested to be at the course 1 hour early so pairings can be made and we can take advantage of an early start should it be possible.

If you are delayed getting to the course please let us know and we will make sure arrangements are made for when you arrive at the course. Similarly, please let us know if you decide not to play.
