D.O.G.S. Penultimate Round at Riverside Golf Club

Hail the D.O.G.S. !!!!!
As with the past 4 rounds the course was well prepared and got us out of the gate right on time and play moved smoothly around the course. It looked to be a repeat of the past 2 weeks with sun shining down throughout the round. However, at the half way point the rains moved in and forced everyone to find shelter for 30 to 40 minutes. Once it cleared up play resumed and we were able to complete play in good time. Despite the delay all players finished long before darkness fell.
We experienced a concerning incident when one of our players had to withdraw from the course due to feeling unwell and was subsequently transported to a hospital in Depok by ambulance. I am pleased to inform you that he was discharged on Saturday evening and is now recuperating at home. The hospital did not provide a diagnosis for his condition. As a general reminder, players are advised to ensure they are well-rested and maintain proper hydration while on the course, as the heat and humidity can quickly have adverse effects.
Nearest to Pin prizes went to Axel Hertzke and Arnold Castillon. The winners of the Long Drives, Hitoshi Maruyama and Alberto Gonzalez, were quick to point out their big shots were from the Blue tees. Doug McQuater and Tony Wood were the winners of Drive & Pitch.
Although Paul Eckhardt didn't secure the Long Drive title this week, he excelled with his flat stick to become the Putting Champion. With his spouse Tikky away, Paul Barnett seized the opportunity to win both the Most Exercise and Booby Prize awards. Axel made another triumphant trip to the front to collect the Lowest Gross and Runner Up titles, while Sepand Zarrabi was declared our Weekly Champion.

Heading into the final round, Axel confidently sits atop the leaderboard, with Alberto poised to challenge his position. Two-time Champion Tim Knight is also in contention, eager to seize the front and claim another Big Dog title. Meanwhile, Hitoshi Maruyama and Roger Finnie, often close but never victorious, are tied behind Tim. However, rumors suggest they will be absent, clearing the path for the rest of the competitors.
