D.O.G.S. Penultimate Round at Senayan National Golf Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,

27 players turned out for our penultimate round of city golf and as usual the club had everything arranged for us allowing for an effortless early start. Somebody must have turned up the heat as it was very humid out on the course but this did not slow play. As with previous weeks, the D.O.G.S. were able to coast around the course unimpeded and enjoy the late afternoon in the clubhouse cooling off. For an added bonus this week, we were treated to delicious cups of pudding graciously made by Lili Bristow. Thank you Lili, this is a first for the D.O.G.S. and was very much appreciated!

Welcome to Dave Keddington who is freshly arrived in Indonesia from Dakar and played his first D.O.G.S. round. Congratulations on your Longest drive; we hope to have you back soon.

Saturday's Winners

From top left: Nearest to Pin winners Maria Fongki and Dennis Prangel, Most Exercise for Risa Tirtayasa and Booby Prize for Timo Karonen, Longest Drive Winners Pungky and Dave Keddington, Drive & Pitch winners Steve Sutton and TPS and Parman gettin his Little Dog.

Parman and Tribhuvan Singh AKA TPS, dueled it out for the Big Dog with TPS's 42 points falling just shy of Parman's 77 and 43 points giving Parman back to back Lowest Gross and Weekly Champion!

Congratulations to all of our winners! Full results can be viewed on our Leaderboard.

Next week is our final week at this course and we have a tight competition with TPS sitting atop the Eclectic standings. He will be grouped with the rest of the top four; Parman, Gaurav Shirke and Douglas McQuater to fight it out for the Big Dog. They will have to keep on their toes as the rest of the Top 10 is not far behind and any of them could make enough improvements to leapfrog to the top.

The Lowest Gross is also far from decided; James Bristow is currently at the top but not by a lot. He will need another good round to take home the trophy.

Not in the race for the Big Dog, no problem. As always there is the Little Dog up for grabs for the day and plenty of other prizes. Get a group together or come on out yourself and join us for the last round of city golf.

The D.O.G.S. are first and foremost about having fun with some friendly competition. This being the case we would respectfully like to remind everyone that we are in a competition and therefore the rules of golf should be adhered to. Please remember a few important points:

  • No improving lie unless lift clean and place has been announced.

  • No gimmees without playing partners approval and even then, putts must NOT be for par or less.

  • Scorecards should be marked by playing partners, not by player.

  • All scorecards must be signed by player and scorer.

  • Have fun.

If you would like to join us for a round there are several ways to register:

On play day if you are delayed arriving at the course please let us know and we will make arrangements for when you arrive. Similarly, please let us know if you decide not to play.
