Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!
So, to the next chapter in the race for the Blue Jacket as we headed into the second round of the Modern Eclectic Series. 36 players made the trip out to Tangerang with the traffic back to normal post Lebaran. Some new faces this week: Joost Hennalla, Bruno Funke, Diwanshu Gupta and Andrea Saccarello and a welcome back after some 18 months to Keith Gorman and to Shane Rawles. Good to see everyone and a big welcome!
The course was definitely a lot busier than last week - so much so that there was a shortage of men's lockers as we were arriving. However, a little patience was soon rewarded as the morning golfers slowly departed freeing up their lockers and it wasn't long before we were all accommodated.
The starter still managed to get us off earlier than expected again and pace of play was good with everyone finishing in good time to enjoy tasty beverages in the clubhouse courtesy of San Miguel Beer - this despite a short sharp shower early in the round which didn't really delay proceedings for long.
So, to the play: Jaakko and Jude showed us how to get close to the pins taking the Nearest to the Pin prizes as did Paul Eckhardt and Hitoshi with their approach shots taking the Drive & Pitch prizes. Jaakko and newcomer Andrea hit a couple of long drives to take the Longest Drive prizes whilst Jim Schnieders certainly had his flat stick working well with 11 one-putts to become this week's Putting Champion.
Our guests, Bruno Funke and Joost Hennalla enjoyed their tour of Tangerang a bit more than most taking the Booby and Most Exercise trophies home. On the other hand Hitoshi had a good round taking this week's Lowest Gross prize leaving the top honours to go to Jude for Runner Up and Jim Schneiders to take his first Little Dog home becoming this week's Champion.
A big congratulations to all our winner this week.

So, with 2 rounds now complete there's a lot of movement at the top of the eclectic leaderboard with Hitoshi leading the way after 36 holes - but there's a long way to go yet. You can check out the full results here.
This weekend also saw the start of the 2025 Jakarta Inter-league season with Captain Dougy leading the D.O.G.S. to a well earned win over Pocksia on Sunday.
A big thank you to San Miguel Beer for helping to make the D.O.G.S. the best dressed team on the course.
