A great day for golf at Rainbow Hills with 32 players turning up including Till Freyer who played his first D.O.G.S round in quite some time. Great to see you Till.
With a large tournament playing in the morning the course was very busy; they did manage to allow the D.O.G.S. to get started a bit early. Pace of play was methodical with groups staying close together for the entire round. What started out as a very hot day quickly cooled down after a couple of holes making for very enjoyable play.
Jochen Overberg brought along Ralf Schmitt for his first ever D.O.G.S. round. Thanks for joining Ralf, hope to see you back soon.
Ralf started off his D.O.G.S. career by winning the Bobby Prize with a respectable 20 points; well done, it only gets better from here. Once again Juju Juhaeriah showed up the men by taking both Long Drive prizes. The big winner of the day was Fernando Gaggino who's 77 gross saw him take home 4 prizes; Drive & Pitch, Putting Champion (24), Lowest Gross and Weekly Champion with 42 points, holding off runner up Johan Hultquist's 40 points.
Shot of the day goes to Kevin Dobson whose massive tee shot on the Stone Hills Course par 3 number 3 hole ended up precariously perched atop the hole 4 tee marker! Hope no damage was done to your club on the subsequent shot Kevin.

Deemples Medal Round
On July 13, as part of our penultimate round, we will be hosting the Deemples Monthly Medal for July. Format will be stroke play with winner determined by lowest net score using Deemples handicap. To qualify for play in the competition simply sign up for the round in Deemples. If you don't have enough rounds in to have an established handicap you can still join and play off scratch.
This will be run concurrently with our regular D.O.G.S. round. The D.O.G.S. scoring will be done with D.O.G.S. handicaps.
