Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!
Another great day at Bogor Raya with 52 players joining us for the third round in this Eclectic Series - that makes 160 rounds in the 3 weeks so far - awesome!
It was also an opportunity for some of us to celebrate our host country's 77th independence anniversary as can be seen by the Merah Putih girls in the photo opposite - great turnout ladies! - note: the husbands celebrated with a beer or two!
Good to see some old faces back after a while, Remon Moerman and Craig Stewart and to welcome a couple of newcomers, Manish Patel and Ric Wymer. Yes, Ric is a newcomer after so many years as it was his first round with the D.O.G.S. other than being part of a matchplay back in his Tee Set days - A big welcome to all - old and new players.
So the weather was kind indeed with us getting off on time and all finishing in good time as well - thanks to the beautiful afternoon with not even the hint of rain or a storm.
So, to the play: Sami Kekonen and Douglas Ure showed their accuracy when it comes to the Par 3's getting the Nearest to the Pin prizes. Reysia Moore and Dave Keddington had their drivers on form taking the Longest Drive honours and Hitoshi Maruyama and Tribhuvan Singh certainly had their approach shots working taking the Drive & Pitch prizes. TPS holed out his second shot for his 2nd D.O.G.S. eagle of the year - wow!
Sandra Novita got her money's worth taking both the Booby Prize and Most Exercise - it can only get better - you hope!
Richard Mau wasn't left out taking both the Putting Champion honour and Lowest Gross prize this week. It took a count back to award Dougie McQuater the Runner Up prize this week.
And it gives me personally great pleasure to announce Rod Williams had a great day becoming this week's Champion and taking home the Little Dog - 3 in 11 years!
So, a big congratulations to all our winners.
We were a bit short on photos this week - please remember to take as many as you can and share so we can post them in the write-up - it all adds to the fun - as can be seen in the video below!
So now we have reached the halfway stage in this Eclectic Series with Richard Mau still holding the lead, being closely pursued by Reysia Moore but there's plenty of opportunity for the chasing pack. Please check out the full results through our Leaderboard page or in the mygolf2u app as usual.
We now head to the fourth round so, as we always say; grab a friend, please sign up early as we are limited to 56 players and let Rod know your preferred playing partners as usual.
