Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!
A busy weekend of golf for the D.O.G.S. with our third round at the beautiful Garden Course, Klub Golf Bogor Raya and the next round of the Interleague at Pondok Cabe on Sunday which the D.O.G.S. were hosting.
For Bogor Raya, another beautiful day with perfect conditions for golf saw the 50 players who made the journey enjoy a great afternoon. With our shotgun start pretty much on time despite a very busy course in the morning, we saw everybody finishing in reasonably good time. Pace of play is always important whether we have a shotgun start or not and we should always keep an eye on what is happening both in front as well as behind us.
A newcomer, so as usual, a big welcome to Sean Flanagan - that's Diarmuid's son - and welcome back to Jannes Tjaden - Arne's son - as well as Bram and Punit Gambhir whom we haven't seen for a while - hope to see you guys again more often!
So, to the play: a strong showing by the ladies this week with Rosie Tjaden taking one of the Nearest to the pin and Drive & Pitch prizes. Sarah Brown took the other Drive & Pitch with an Eagle 2 on hole 4 - wow! Sam Westen again creamed a couple of very long drives taking both the Longest Drive prizes and Roger Finnie took the other Nearest to the Pin prizes.
Indar Dhaliwal missed the greens which meant he was this week's Putting Champion. Colin Shanks said he always wanted the cricket bat Booby prize to add to his Most Exercise trophies and he was not disappointed. Sean Flanagan is either not listening to the golfing advice he's getting from Dad or his Dad doesn't have any good advice to give - no problem, Sean at least didn't go away empty handed winning the Most Exercise Trophy.
Sam Westen had it all going his way with a tremendous gross par round winning the Lowest Gross prize. We also had some unfinished business with Sam presenting him with the Lowest Gross Average trophy from our last series at Rainbow Hills.
Naresh Krishnan also had a good round winning the Runner Up prize, but Rosie Tjaden had the best round of her life shooting an 80 off the stick and the highest number of Stableford points to become this week's Champion and take home the Little Dog.
A big congratulations to all this week's winners.
Not sure who was taking the video of whom here? - never mind, I made the Par!
So, now we are at the half way stage and there's still a lot of movement at the top of the Eclectic Leaderboard. Rosie now takes the top slot after her great round - but can she hold on? Will the chasing pack catch her up? There's only one way to find out and that's to join us for the second half of this series. But first check out the full standings on our Leaderboard page or in the myGolf2u app.
This weekend also saw the next round in the Interleague Matchplay with Captain Dougie's team taking on the Wolves at Pondok Cabe. A tough team to beat but the D.O.G.S. came out even with 2 matches won, two lost and one all-square - not a bad result.
It was a great day and again perfect conditions for golf....
We now head into the fourth round. So, as we always say, grab a friend and sign up for our final round at Rainbow Hills and don't forget to let Rod know your preferred playing partners. Please also make sure you have confirmed that your preferred playing partners are their preferred playing partners! Also note that signing up early helps a lot in getting things ready with the club - thanks.

If your ball is in a divot in the fairway we know that's tough luck and you must play as is. What about your foot being in a divot when you address your ball? The answer is here.
