Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,
A modest group of 28 golfers turned up for our 3rd round at Pondok Cabe. This week the course was quieter and the D.O.G.S. were afforded an early start. Once underway they kept up a furious pace in order to beat the rains that had come in the previous 2 rounds. Most groups finished in 4 hours and stayed dry. The exception being yours truly's group whose start was delayed due to some family duties before heading to the course. The players who remained in the clubhouse waiting enjoyed a good laugh as the rain fell hard on the last hole giving a good soaking to the final group struggling up the last hole in full view of all.
Maurice Dres was back with us and took home the Most Exercise and much to Kevin Dobson's delight Keith Gorman was our Bobby Prize winner.
Roger Finnie and Fernando Gaggino were our only double winners for the day with Roger taking a Nearest to Pin and Lowest Gross with an 81. Fernando snatched a Drive & Pitch to go with his first ever Little Dog for Weekly Champion with 39 points.
At the halfway point of the tournament the low handicappers are in the usual position (for this point in the tournament) of leading the pack. Unfortunately for them there is a lot of green on their scorecards and a lot of white on the Dogs chasing them. There is plenty of golf to be played before anyone will lay claim to the Big Dog.

We hope everyone likes the new scorecards; please don't forget to fill them out completely by marking the tees you are playing from and signed by players and markers. It is also worth pointing out that there are some Dogs whose math skills need a bit of sharpening; please double check your totals before signing your card.
