Fourth Round at Permata Sentul Golf Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!

So, we headed into our 4th round of this Eclectic Series and again we were blessed with fantastic weather conditions and a course, in what has become a common feature, in great condition. A total of 32 payers made the relatively quick journey down to Sentul including a couple of guests of Remon's, namely, Dekki Yehuda and Betha Wanggai. Guests are always welcome - the more the merrier!

Everyone arrived in good time which was great as the starters allowed us to get going slightly earlier then published...that's why it's always good to arrive early just in case we get lucky.

We had a semi-shotgun start off the front nine again this week and the pace of play started off quick but we did get held up a little on the back nine making the round slightly longer than last week - but with the great weather, all were finished in good time to settle into the refreshments back in the restaurant.

So, to the play: Roger Finnie was a multiple winner again this week taking on the Nearest to the Pin prizes as well as the Low Gross and Runner up spot - albeit on a count back (a genuine one at that!!!)

Good to see Jens Muller hit a decent shot for a change taking the other Nearest to the Pin - well done, it seems as if your game is slowly improving! The girls featured this week with Nanin taking one of the Longest Drive prizes Agnes one of the Drive & Pitch honours, the others going to Jacob Smith and Richard Mau. Viora enjoyed the beautiful weather rather more than perhaps her golf taking both Most Exercise and Booby prizes this week - mind you, her other half Andrew wasn't far behind!

John Gustke has now become an official member of the Missing all the Green's Club taking the Putting Champion Prize home - so he joins Roger and Richard!!

It did take a count back to determine this week's Champion with our very own Kevin 'Yo Dogs' Dobson taking the Little Dog home, very kindly presented by the loser on the count back, Roger!! Kevin has managed to go from winning the Most Exercise Trophy in the first round to the Little Dog in the fourth - there's hope for all of us!!!

So, with 4 rounds complete things are now really taking shape in the race for the Blue Jacket. Hitoshi heads the leaderboard but only 3 points separates the top five. All have room for improvements and with Chris Barnett gone, it's still very much wide open. So, only 36 holes left you can check out the full results on the leaderboard.

Get ready for next week as we head into our penultimate round and be sure to register early, and, as usual, let Rod know your preferred playing partners as early as possible - thanks.
