Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!
It's been 2 years since the D.O.G.S. last played at Rainbow Hills, and the players were excited to get back on the course. After a bit of a late start, everyone headed out from the 1st tees on the Forest and Mountain courses. Things were going smoothly, with everyone enjoying the views and keeping a good pace. But then, the weather decided to toy with us. What started as a light drizzle turned into a full-on downpour, soaking everyone. It seemed like it might clear up, but then the thunder and lightning kicked in, causing a brief pause. Once it was safe, play picked up again, but only for one more hole before the rain got too heavy, forcing us to stop after 9 holes. Richard Mau, always determined, managed to sneak in one more hole, but that was it.
Good to see Mike Corsini and Geary Bowles back with us and Robbie Nohreiter back for a hit.
Since we couldn't finish, no prizes were given out, but any scores posted in myGolf2u will still count towards the Eclectic scorecard.
The 34th edition of the German Open Cup was played on Friday, May 23rd and many D.O.G.S. were out supporting the Indonesian Street Children Organization (ISCO), the beneficiary of the tournament. ISCO is an established charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of street children and children in need through education. Our Charity barrel donations collected during our Modern 2025 tournament, totalling 6,165,000 IDR were donated to ISCO.
