Second Round at Imperial Klub Golf

Hail the D.O.G.S. !!!!!

We had an impressive turnout for our second round, and the course ensured we started right on schedule. Despite a busy course, play proceeded smoothly throughout the track.

Welcome to Barry Howard, Joost Hennalla, and Richard Gowland, who joined us for their first D.O.G.S. round.

Bill Lloyd opted for the Red Tees for the day, enjoying the advantage of shorter approach shots, while the rest of us pursued pars and birdies, aiming to compete for the Big Dog.

Nearest to Pin prizes were taken by Richard Mau and Ameesh Anand. Axel Hertzke and Jacob Smith took the Longest Drives with some great shots. Leith Day (visiting from Bali) took a Drive & Pitch while newly married Alberto Gonzalez got the other one.

He might not have had his name on any flags, but the happiest person on the course was undoubtedly Tony Wood, who achieved his very first Hole in One on hole 14. Congratulations Tony, and thank you for the post-round beers!

Max Sollfrank had the greens figured out to run away with the Putting Champion Prize. Tom Grace was excited to receive the Cricket Bat for the lowest Stableford and Joost Hennalla took a big tour of the course to win Most Exercise. Marc Desilets had a great day with 42 points to win Runner Up. That left Richard Mau to come up and collect the Lowest Gross and Weekly Champion accolades.

Congratulations to all of this week's winners.

We are two weeks into "The Imperial Klub Golf – Rod Williams Memorial Challenge," and Don Duttlinger's steady play has put him in the lead, with Richard close behind.

Full results for the Challenge and Eclectic are available on the leaderboard.

Rules Information

You are just off the green and considering using your putter but there is a sprinkler head between the flag and your ball. Are you able to take relief? The answer; it depends. This video explains the rule. Modal Local Rule F-5 is explained here.

The D.O.G.S. have not implemented F-5 and the current course we are playing does not list it under their local rules so it is not in effect for our tournament.
